Hopetoun Horse Driving Trials is a 4-Day Carriage Driving Event situated in the beautiful deer park of Hopetoun House in South Queensferry near Edinburgh.
The event consists of Club, National and Gateway Classes as well as RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) classes.
Our Club and National event will take place between 23rd -25th May 2025, with Gateway and RDA classes on Thursday 22nd May.
Turnouts consist of Singles (one horse/pony), Pairs (two horses/ponies side by side), Teams (four horses/ponies, two at the front and two at the back) or Tandems (two horses/ponies, one at the front and one at the back). The event also holds classes for Small Equines (SE) and Very Small Equines (VSE) which cater for our small but mighty equine friends.
